Episode 6
The Chef, the Artist & the Chocolates
We are delighted to introduce Chef Aisha Ibrahim and her esteemed team from Canlis Seattle, USA.
As the first woman to hold the Executive Chef position in Canlis's seventy-year history, she brings a wealth of culinary expertise and cultural heritage to her role. Hailing from the Southern Philippines and having worked in Michelin-starred restaurants across California, Spain, and Thailand, Chef Aisha's diverse background infuses her menu with a rich tapestry of flavors and influences. Recognized by Food & Wine as one of the twelve 'Best New Chefs in America' in 2023, Chef Aisha is renowned for her innovative approach to cooking, which emphasizes heritage, sustainability, and the artistry of each dish.

These three evenings are a special collaboration with artist Pinaree Sanpitak's 'Breast Stupa Cookery' which has been creating experiences with chefs since 2005. We are honored to be working with Pinaree, who is one of the most compelling Thai artists of our generation. She explores the relationship of the female form with spirituality and guests will be able to interact with her art pieces, both small and large, throughout the event.

In this exchange of cultures through food, we are also partnering with Kad Kokoa to produce a special box of 15 chocolate bonbons to raise money for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation. These limited edition boxes - available only during this event - will celebrate Pinaree's iconic breast stupas and be flavored by Thailand's seasonal produce, including local cacao beans. Each box purchased will include a donation to QSCBC that sponsors a packaged medical check up with a mammogram, ultrasound and papsmear for underprivileged women.
